READ ME! Welcome to the Suzuki Academy Blog!

We hope this will be a useful communication tool for all of our students, families and teachers! Please contact Ms. Jennifer if you have any questions or concerns. If you are looking for the Music School of Delaware’s website, please click here: http://musicschoolofdelaware.org/home.html

How to use this blog:

  1. Important pages like the calendar, schedules, rosters and other things that should be static throughout the year are listed above in red, and also on the right. You may click on them, and they will take you to the information you require.
  2. On the right-hand side (computer view…phone view may be different) you may enter your email to subscribe to the blog. If you subscribe, you will receive an email when there is new information on the blog. We suggest you check it every Friday, regardless of whether you have received an email. Class cancellations, reminders, or other time-sensitive information should be posted on Friday or before 9:00 am on Saturday morning.
  3. Also on the right: You will find a search window. You can type in the name of your teacher, a date, an event, a group class name, a piece…anything you want. The results will be pulled from the entire blog (pages and  posts, but probably not the calendar.) Hopefully it will return the specific result you desire.
  4. Underneath the search window, there is a “category” pull-down menu. Selecting a category is a lot like searching – it will narrow the results that you get to something more specific.
  5. The main part of the blog is the “Posts”. They are announcements that can be posted by any teacher. They appear in reverse chronological order of when they were added to the blog. (Newest is at the top of the front page, oldest is at the bottom of the last page.) At the top of each post is a general title, then the details are underneath. If you can’t see all the words, click on the “Read more” button and it will open the post in its own window. Each post will have categories associated with it. Categories allow the blog to return information when you search by category.
  6. SOMETIMES there is a post at the top of the front page that is older than the posts below it. (The post you’re reading right now is like that.) This post is “stuck” to the front page so it can’t get covered up by newer announcements. We usually only stick a post to the front page when it’s very important, and remove it when it is no longer important. We can stick more than one post to the front page, so you might need to scroll down if there are a few important announcements.
  7. If you’re just scrolling through the announcements, you’ll get to the end of each page, and will need to click on the next page number to access the older posts.
